This year the BRIDE Show has launched Recycle Runway Awards 2016. A competition that is designed to challenge the public to think about recycling in different ways, the competition brings attire made from waste products and recyclable material to a runway show held at BRIDE Dubai 2016.
It offers all students, professionals and domestic goddesses the opportunity to break through the boundaries of creativity and become fashion leaders of the future. The design creativity will be based on the Theme: “Recycle Runway”.
Each designer is required to create ONE outfit that will showcase their individual talent. This enables talent from within the GCC region to interact with domestic and national fashion delegates; for the purpose of these awards, this includes; Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
A high profile panel of esteemed Judges have the privilege of choosing the most promising talent from among the participants. The designer will get an opportunity to describe the design in front of the judging panel and mass media. Winners will be announced on the last day of the event, i.e. 13th February 2016 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
To challenge the way people think about waste and to engage the public in creative uses of it. The aim of the competition is to show how simple it is to recycle and upcycle fashion.
The Recycle Runway Awards is designed to challenge the public to think about recycling in different ways. Recycling retrieves valuable materials out of garbage to make new products, like the ones we use every day, from soda cans and saving paper to carpet and automobiles. Recycling along with reducing consumption is the best way of saving energy and conserving the environment.
Beautifully imaginative designs made from a variety of recyclable products will be displayed at the BRIDE Show Dubai 2016. Tala Samman and Aishwarya Ajit are the judges for BRIDE Recycle Runway Awards, they are going to announce the winners on the 13 Feb on the main stage at 6 30 pm.
